RETIRED ENTOMOLOGIST Jeffrey Granett (shown in front of Briggs Hall at UC Davis) now spends much of his time creating art. This is part of his hanging art, "Carpenter Bee with Tattoo," that will be shown at "The Bees at The Bee" art show on Saturday, May 8 from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Sacramento Bee's open courtyard at 2100 Q St. Open to the public at no charge, it's a benefit for honey bee research at UC Davis.
