The Death of a Pop Up Greenhouse

Well, it seems nature has thrown yet another monkey wrench into the garden. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed the zipper on my pop up greenhouse was torn from the seams.  So of course, I set about patching it. When that was done, I zipped the inner screen closed wondering how much abuse from the wind, myself, and the cats this thing was built to take. Only then did I realize I'd forgotten to water the tropicals inside before reclosing it. Instead of chancing the zipper again so soon, I watered them through the screen, like I sometimes do.

The screen reacted to the water like it was a laser beam. It just disintegrated. As I stood there working my way up to a full blown tantrum after the work I'd just done, Jiuseppe my cat, came out of nowhere, scaled the fence, ran across the roof beam of the greenhouse and back, as if to make a really mean point, and was gone again. He split the roof clean in two. From laser beam to roof collapse, it was just a matter of seconds. Like a really rude cartoon.
