Fall is in the Air

The calendar says its fall, our fall weather is wonderful during the day it has been in the 80's and cools down at night.

The leaves are falling in my yard from my neighbors very large mulberry tree. I can say I'm getting my exercise raking them up. Some of my plants are starting to go dormant for their winter sleep.

If you have been in any of the local stores you will see all the items for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas already. So with that thought in mind, it must mean the Master Gardeners of Solano County will be getting ready for the Wreath Workshop and Marketplace.

For those of you who might not know the Wreath Workshop is a fun event put on by the UC Master Gardeners. Participants can pay to come and make a wreath for the home with assorted greens, dried decoration and bows all for the low cost of $50.00. Plus the marketplace has items for sale made by some of our very talented Master Gardeners. Could be just the Christmas gift you are looking for or a gift for yourself.

Watch the newspaper for more information on this fun event, or call the Jennifer Baumbach, Program Coordinator at 707-389-0645 or jmbaumbach@ucanr.edu.
